AIFS Celebrates International Education Week
STAMFORD, CT- The American Institute For Foreign Study (AIFS) commemorates International Education Week (IEW) by offering students the most fun and exciting summer of their lives in 2008.
Celebrating International Education Week this week, AIFS is proud to offer their largest selection of locations and courses ever in the summer of 2008, their 44th year of providing the very best study abroad opportunities for college students.
This summer, Peru and Costa Rica join the already impressive list of countries offered by AIFS that includes Argentina, Australia, Austria, China, Czech Republic, England, France, India, Ireland, Italy, Russia, South Africa and Spain. Students can choose the location that will serve as the backdrop to their life-changing summer experience, earning college credits while spending between a month to nine weeks abroad.
A leader in cultural exchange since 1964, AIFS is a strong advocate of the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. IEW celebrates these benefits this week, stressing the importance of educational exchanges and the learning of foreign languages in an increasingly global community.
AIFS’ comprehensive programs include housing, meals, transcripts, insurance and a rich variety of built-in cultural activities and excursions. Unlike many other study abroad opportunities, the program fees listed in the AIFS catalog and website will not change, regardless of the record-low U.S. dollar or currency fluctuations. Scholarships and financial aid are also available.
IEW is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education and is part of their efforts to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences in the United States.
This special week is a great time to appreciate the positive impact of study abroad and to look ahead to next summer when you can experience it for yourself…on an AIFS program!

Since its founding in 1964, AIFS has been committed to providing students with the safest, most enjoyable and highest quality educational programs. AIFS celebrates a proud history of providing opportunities to the international education community.
