Au Pairs Help "Families Go International" at Kent County YMCA for International Education Week
WARWICK, RI – This Friday, 21 au pairs will do their part in helping "Families Go International" at the Kent County YMCA to celebrate International Education Week (November 16 to November 21).
On the evening of November 21, the Kent County YMCA is inviting all members and their children to the "Families Go International" event at their facilities in Warwick. Participating in this event are nearly two dozen au pairs from Au Pair in America, the nation's first and most trusted au pair agency, which has a large contingent of host families in Kent County.
The au pairs in attendance come from such countries as Brazil, Chile, Germany, South Africa, Thailand and Iceland. Each au pair will be stationed at a table celebrating their home country with native refreshments, games, crafts, recipes, and more. The au pairs will give out maps and flags to the children as well as educate parents about the benefits of Au Pair in America, a flexible and affordable child care option that includes an invaluable cultural stimulation for the entire family.
Au Pair in America has placed nearly 65,000 au pairs in 37 states since they pioneered the program in the U.S. more than 20 years ago.
Au Pair in America matches potential au pairs that meet the different criteria posed by host families. Both au pairs and families complete a thorough application and matching process to ensure the best situation for all parties.
Regulated by the U.S. Department of State's Exchange Visitor Program, the au pair program allows 18- to 26-year-old foreign women the opportunity to live in the U.S. for up to two years as live-in child care providers. Each au pair is screened thoroughly and must have at least 200 hours of recent, documented child care experience and speak proficient English.

The original legal au pair solution, Au Pair in America combines live-in child care and cultural exchange for a mutually rewarding and enriching experience. Au Pair in America is headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut, and has offices in five countries.
